Tiff in Melbourne

It’s been a little less than 2 weeks since I arrived in Melbourne, Australia. I’ve seen koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, emus, and even penguins. They look so cuddly I want to take them home.

Photos are not allowed, so I’ve googled an image for your reference.

First 2 weeks are mostly about applying for work, checking out the City, ie. downtown, Phillip Island and a zoo. I have also secured an in-house web designer contract starting in a week.

Tasmanian devil. I bet my cousin will find them adorable. I must say, they are interesting animals.

Food in Melbourne is great. Cost is higher, but there are random cheap buys. McDonald’s has 30-cent small ice cream cones (Aussies call them “soft serves”) – who could resist?

Before I came, people tell me Melbourne has the best coffee in the world. I have had about 4. That says a lot considering I have 1 about every 4 months. Mmmmm… Then again, it might be because the tourist in me tells me to try more.

Cappuccino. This was good.
Cappuccino. This was good. Prospect Espresso, Camberwell.

Until next time,
