Wouldn’t that be great? Well, actually their website says Moerenuma Park was transformed from a “waste treatment plant” and on Wikipedia it refers to it as “garbage reclaimed ground”. In my head I think landfill. :P
1.89km2 of Art & Sculpture
Amazingly Moerenuma Park is now a family-friendly, art-sculpture and nature-lovers’ refuge. With about 1.89 square kilometres of space (or 188 hectares), this project definitely required a master plan. The space is designed by Isamu Noguchi, a world-renowned sculptor. Unfortunately, the landscape artist passed away shortly after completing the Moerenuma plans before his designs were implemented.
A playground for all ages
The Glass Pyramid at Moerenuma Park
In my opinion, Moerenuma Park is a great place to recharge. I was lucky the day I went wasn’t a weekend or during a busy holiday. Do you have a tranquil place you go back to to recharge?
