You Yangs Part 1: Hiking

Rock Formations
View from Flinders Peak Lookout.

It is a hot sunny day. We travel to the You Yangs Regional Park to climb Flinders Peak Trail, the steepest trail, first.

This post is dedicated to madcowmoo, for thinking of me and telling me you want to hike more (and to travel to Australia) because of my posts. It means a lot. Merci beaucoup!

There are many rock formations, just asking us to climb up to have a better look.

Then we walked the Branding Yard Trail, where we saw dancing trees, and echidnas.

Road into the vanishing point, surrounded by dancing trees.
The seemingly never-ending road.
Two slanted trees.
Dancing trees.
Echnida
Echidnas are endangered species. We are lucky to see 2.
Echidna digging its head into the ground.
Kiddie trying to hide from us. We can still see you, you know?

After the 2 trails, we decide we hiked enough for the day, so we skip the third trail and drive to the beach instead.

Tiff & George shrug.
We build George to send Christmas greetings to our friends.
Lady and her son saying hello to George the sand snowman.
We are afraid of deserting George, but when we look back, he is already making new friends.

Thanks Fab for taking me to this hike and beach!

If anyone wants an enjoyable climb/hike, I highly recommend the You Yangs Regional Park.

This hike is from December 20, 2014.
