Noboribetsu, hot springs here we come!

Noribetsu Hot Springs
Please excuse the spelling error.

Noboribetsu is a town of hot springs.

This post is dedicated to DJTran. Small trigger that reminds me of you. Please read to the end.

Noribetsu | Devil statue with spiked bat
These devil statues are probably the most memorable icons of Noboribetsu.

They’re everywhere:Noribetsu | Statue of two hugging devils

Noribetsu | Gigantic spiked bat with smaller devil statue

Here you can see many steamy hots springs. (But way too hot for a dip! Though water is pumped to onsens nearby where one can enjoy.)

Noribetsu Jigokudani

This one here is black, muddy and dangerous. The name even suggests hell: Taisho Jigoku (大正地狱)

And of course, how could I leave without a unique experience?

Noribetsu Natural Foot Bath
Noboribetsu’s Natural Foot Bath
Route to the Foot bath
As I get closer, I see people with red feet walking out. Yes, I’m almost there…

Arrived! Yay!!

Left: butt pads; Right: people dipping their feet into the natural foot bath
Do you know what these dangling things on the left are?

Yup, butt pads. How convenient!

DJTran: Thanks for making those pivotal moments easier to endure.
